A Busy Week: 2 podcasts, some guy’s house, and vague short fiction news

As always, the Halloween season was a busy one for me. Here’s a wrap-up of last week now I’ve had time to breathe a little.

On Saturday, I had the pleasure of being a co-panelist on the inimitable Lovecraft eZine Podcast where Mike Davis and I interviewed Matt Maxwell, the author of The Queen of No Tomorrows. We were also joined by author, Tom Lucas. Here’s the episode:

On Monday, members of my writing group, the Tuesday Mayhem Society, Peter N. Dudar, Morgan Sylvia and I, went up to Orono, Maine to do an event at the Fogler Library at the University of Maine. We had a fantastic time. We can’t thank the library staff and audience members enough for such a magical (and spooky) time. Here’s the fantastic poster that was around campus:

On the way back, we hung out outside some guy’s house (see photo below taken on night mode in the pitch dark):

On the day itself, I took part in my second Infernal Salon, hosted by the lovely C.S.E. Cooney and Carlos Hernandez, and streamed on Twitch by Arvan Eleron. For Halloween, it was suitably scary for participants, as they wrote and read pieces LIVE based on prompts from the hosts’ tabletop rpg Negocios Infernales (which you can still back on Kickstarter). Here’s the list of the intrepid Salon-ers:

You can watch the salon here:

Finally, also on Halloween, I got some very exciting news about a short fiction sale. I can’t talk about it for a long while yet, but it is a real check off the dream list!
